Since the publication of Songs for Catalina I have written less and less poetry. Every poet needs their break, I think. I have found satisfaction in other preoccupations, but nothing can take the place of the word. The poems I have gathered here are a selection from the period 1993 - 1996. They were written under different circumstances, mostly in London, and for different friends. Most of them are sad and laced with disillusionment. "All because i loved you" is a valedictory until the voice finds a new song. Some of the poems have appeared in Wasafiri.
